they find it in the attic and it doesn't work any more, but occasionally the cymbals clap and someone dies, like in an 'accident'. and they try and throw it away but it turns up again. it kills their uncle and dog and then they wrap it in chains and throw it in the lake, but it comes back and kills their dad or something.
