first only, link it and never repeat

'edit' woo, nice one :) and welcome aboard new person

# Yeah!
Never mind it's fucking excellent! You're pissing off people who can't shop around for broadband!

# or who have bandwidth caps.
Which is virtually everyone, these days.

# I choose to as my minimum download rate is so much faster than uncapped.
(, Sat 20 Sep 2008, 14:16, archived)
# Or prefer speed over quantity

# Excellent speed and no caps here,
and it wasn't hard to find.

EDIT: And let's get to the main point. An excellent first post on this board and the only thing the first two replies could find to point out is that it's 1Mb in size. No mention of the fact that it's good. Why should she fucking bother to post again? "Never repeat"

# Min rate
And bandwidth tests only take the peak for a fraction of a second so really mean nothing.
I was one of the people that worked for BT in the development of UK ADSL.
I really do know what I'm talking about.

# You might want to read the first post again.
It clearly says it's very good, which it is, and politely points to further information on the board's guidelines.

# ah it's a she, that's why it's ok.
I pointed out the filesize aspect, never said don't repeat posting ever. And I have no idea what it looks like as it slowed my internets down to a snails pace

# MY INTERNET IS FASTER, MY E-PENIS IS BIGGER.

# The "never again" could hardly be interpreted as "FUCK OFF AND DON'T POST HERE"
It's more likely a suggestion that they don't break the guidelines.
(, Sat 20 Sep 2008, 15:08, archived)
# for exactly both of these reasons
speed and caps man, like death and taxes

'edit' I shouldn't really complain, adblock is a lubberly bit o'kit
(, Sat 20 Sep 2008, 14:19, archived)
# yes it is!

# I have no choice but capped broadband.
I'm not going to make a fuss over it, but I don't see why people should bitch about other people's ISP choices when there are guidelines in place. If it were 10kb over, there wouldnt be any fuss at all, but having something over 4 times the reccommended size takes the piss.

If everyone did it, people with capped bandwidth wouldn't bother coming on b3ta.

I don't dislike a post because it's big, but having an option for a CFB in the first place saves all the arguing.
