# so i see.
is the ear sheltered from the wind, or would i have to build a fire to keep warm?

# That depends.
At this time of year I would probably start thinking about taking the lee ear, but earlier in the season I would prefer the fresh air to the shelter.

There is a deep brown wax in here which can niff a bit, but makes excellent Blu-Tak

# Watch out for the lice.
I use a concoction of my own devising, consisting of a mixture of lavender oil and a blackthorn stick.

To be honest, the lavender is optional.

# i find that coating myself in earwax works fine
the lice just slide right off.

# That's fine in the summer,
when you can sit in a breeze.

In autumn I avoid it because of the odour, although it can keep the frost off on particularly cold winters nights.

# if the ears are hairy
the hair can be woven to produce blankets that are both warm and waterproof. nose hair blankets should only be used as a last resort, they're much coarser and not at all waterproof.
