At this time of year I would probably start thinking about taking the lee ear, but earlier in the season I would prefer the fresh air to the shelter.
There is a deep brown wax in here which can niff a bit, but makes excellent Blu-Tak

I use a concoction of my own devising, consisting of a mixture of lavender oil and a blackthorn stick.
To be honest, the lavender is optional.

In autumn I avoid it because of the odour, although it can keep the frost off on particularly cold winters nights.
