I say it simply because I have received similar jokes in several emails from friends and acquaintances in the last few weeks. Good stuff for the original poster, as it's gone a bit viral-ish, but rather annoying. I tend to ignore my friends now if they send me Forwards, or give them some abuse if I'm particularly angry.

See, that's the "trouble" (for want of a better word) with B3taB3tans are typically intelligent and witty people. So any internet jokes that make it into the real world inevitably originate from B3ta. As a result I get an inbox of forwards which I already saw on B3ta three months ago!
