# Again, I'm a bit suspicious.
I'd like to get everything copyrighted first, really. I don't trust people, I've had music nicked before.

I'm sure they're lovely, but I'm just frightened of enterring into that sort of relationship with anyone without lawyers and contracts.

edit: see, this is why I like lawyers. I've not got the right sort of brain for this.

# Once it's published on the net, you have total copyright control over it.
There is proof of a publication date etc. That said, I've given everything away free so far anyway, so anyone who's wanted to use it is welcome to - even so I've yet to find anything particularly suspicious about it...

Last.fm is the other way of doing things as it's a bit better than myspace - build your band's page and upload away...

# Again, lawyers and contracts.
I just know I won't read all the small print on those sorts of sites, and then it'll transpire that they own everything and badness. Possibly.

I'm just frightened of losing all my and my bands' intellectual property to the great god of intercapitalism. Worst case scenario, I know, but I'm a pessimist.

# Crikey...
And yet you've got a Myspace?

Have a word with the Lost Children bloke, I'm sure he'll do more to put your mind at rest than I can...

# I didn't put the songs on myspace.
Hence me saying I'm just bass and arts, I really am.

It still worries me now, but I suppose I've got to get over it. It's only crotchless-knickered 14 year olds that get proper record deals these days.
