Once again my rampant philanthropy works against me.
Damn you, rampant philanthropy!

Would my situation improve if I stressed how much I thoroughly re-enjoyed them?

i'm on my second copy of some of them, i've worn the originals out from so much re-reading. i still won't get rid of them.

i'm leaching at the mo.
but until i get a job and decide whether i'm moving out in the near future or not i've got no choice.
my bookcase is my sister's old one, one of the little Ikea ones that folds away when it's not in use. she had two of these plus a 6ft tall one, not enough space for her books, so she had one alcove in her bedroom converted into a fitted, double deep, bookcase. and still had a pile of books about the height of her (two stacks) unread that didn't fit. so now she's got a 6ft book case as well as the built in.

i got almost £4,000, so i left my old furniture behind and bought all new stuff. 2x6ft bookcases and 1x3ft.

the rest are hardback, but they were all birthday/christmas presents.

for about 8 years, or if i have i've used christmas money so it doesn't count. just the peripheral books (mapps etc)first one i got was eric, then my parents bought me the death trilogy (I blame them for the poster of the grim reaper on my wall, and my one time desire to have Death on one shoulder blade and DoR on the other (with Death of fleas in his paw) and the Death keyring i have which nearly got taken off me when flying to Dublin (i now leave my keys in my hold luggage if i need to fly with them) but they did buy me the keyring) i got the witches trilogy out from the library once, and was determined that i would get the same volume rather than three individual books, unfortunately it was out of print so took me two/three years to get. when i got the aforementioned freebies I was only missing Guards Guards, which i think was also out of print as the only liverpool bookstore with a copy at that time was blackwells (and i think the watch trilogy was first published quite soon after) have two copies of the truth because my mum was too lazy to see if i already had the hardback, and my brother had already told her he was getting me thief of time (waited for paperback of that one for some reason)
everything since night watch i've got hardback. including my signed Thud! :D (present off my best mate who loves the books as much as me

everyone in the family knows i go positively rabid when a new one comes out. Thud! is awesome, but i still prefer Night Watch.
