I sit in my office chair with my feet up on the end of the deskand put the tablet on my lap with the mouse and keyboard in easy reach of my right hand. It works for me. however I mainly use my tablet with painter x and it has a fantastic option of rotating the canvas to suit your drawing direction, much as you would so with paper and pencil and it stops a lot of the wrist strain moving your hand around as you need to in photoshop.
