# they'll be even worse
when we take Bale from them in January.

Perhaps they could buy some of Ken Dodd's diddymen with the money, you know, to give them some height up front.

# City fan?

# Man Utd
fan. He'll be coming to us. We've been trailing him since Southampton and need cover at left back. He's top of the January list.

# You've got those twins havent you?
One plays LB and one plays RB, or am I wrong?

# The Nevilles?
Their dad is called Neville! LOL!
(, Sun 19 Oct 2008, 23:52, archived)
# Not neville neville no!
they are spanish, or brazilian, or south american or something like that
(, Sun 19 Oct 2008, 23:53, archived)
# haha. yes.
He is Neville Neville. They both played in the local boys league with my two younger cousins ( who played up front ) before being picked up by United and my cousins regularly ran rings around them. The the silly fuckers discovered booze, women, drugs and night clubs. Just like I did but I wasn't good enough to play pro football. The dicks.

edit:// when I mean they, I'm on the Nevilles now, and did the da Silva info below ;)

# Yeah I realised that :P
and also accidently clicked "I like this"... whoops
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:09, archived)
# It's ok.
I did it to one of Sushi's posts above :)
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:12, archived)
# Yeah, but all my posts are fucking win so it doesnt matter ;)
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:15, archived)
# Yeah
Rafael and Fabio Da Silva. Rafael played yesterday. Trouble is he's the right back and his brother, though very good is not quite first team material yet and we have been short at left back since we let judas go. ( Heinze )
(, Sun 19 Oct 2008, 23:56, archived)
# Tbh bale hasnt looked that good since he joined spurs, I'd say he's probably more of a left winger,
his defending looks a bit suspect
(, Sun 19 Oct 2008, 23:58, archived)
# I think he
has the makings of a good left back of the sort we need ( we use a left back on the overlap and he needs to get from line to line ). He just needs some proper guidance at a football club instead of playing for Assclowns F.C. ;)
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:01, archived)
# Yeah, but is he first team material at utd now?
or would he need some time in teh reserves.
Cos if he did, what would be the point in spending say 25mil on him when you already have a half decent LB and RB in the reserves, first team experience will sort them out really.
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:05, archived)
# I think your valuation
is out by nearly double ( his stock has dropped a lot ) But even so, as I said he'd be cover and if he did come January ( the only thing there is Ferguson hates to buy in January unless forced ) he's be match fit ( well, whatever goes for match fit at spurs. Insiders at Utd were shocked at how poor Berbatov's fitness was compared to what they require ) if needed.
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:12, archived)
# Well 25 was a top end estimate, and with the current credit climate, valuations will probably be less, maybe nearer the 17 mark
Thats considering how much they bought him for, and have spent over the summer (although they re-couped alot from berbs and keanes sales)
And evra isnt exactly a bad LB, he's probably one of the most consistant in the league
and likes to get forwards ALOT!
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:16, archived)
# Absolutely.
I don't see another player playing instead of Evra. he's just turned out to be a bit fragile and can't guarantee 50 games a season.
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:19, archived)
# Thats what your young people are for :D
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:22, archived)
# I don't mind.
I'd be happy for Utd to buy the whole spurs squad and give then jobs in the function room bar if it meant that Spurs will just disappear into the championship and their deluded fans can finally get the message ;)
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:26, archived)
# Hahahahaha!
we can but hope.
I just want to see bentley in teh championship
and not getting called up to the england squad so he sees the error of leaving a decent club for one with delusions of grandour
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:28, archived)
# They sound exactly like Gary and Phil :D
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:01, archived)
# much sexier
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:02, archived)
# I seem to remember having this discussion in a car yesterday
they sold all of their strikers in the Summer, err

plan B; which was?
(, Sun 19 Oct 2008, 23:46, archived)
# To be fair,
Darren Bent isn't a bad striker, but not if you wanna push for CL football, and certainly not with his colleagues around him.
(, Sun 19 Oct 2008, 23:48, archived)
# well they only can play one of bent or pavly
they are too similar, they need a defoe/keane to play along side them.
Bent works hard and just needs games to get some confidence up and start playing well, he just hasnt been getting games last season anyway
(, Sun 19 Oct 2008, 23:49, archived)
# Aye,
he proved his quality with us. Highest scoring English player in that season in a very average team! And yet Walcott went to the World Cup? INCOMPETENCELOL!
(, Sun 19 Oct 2008, 23:52, archived)
# I think bent is a quality striker,
but like all strikers if you leave them on the bench for weeks on end then you can't expect them to turn on the style and be happy when you do decide to give them a run.
I think he made a huge mistake going to Spurs ( at the time, not just in LOLSPURS hindsight.) but He was not a massive superstar and the money lure can be big.
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:17, archived)
# In his defense, money wasn't a factor.
He turned down opportunities to go to Liverpool and West Ham who would have paid him a lot more!
(, Mon 20 Oct 2008, 0:20, archived)
# yeah but he's have never got a game at
the thieves and hammers? he was trying to cement an England slot, not bury his career ;)
