from charity shops. Particularly the 'Top of the Pops' series of albums from the mid 70s.

Unfortunately I do not own a turntable anymore.

They had all the hits of the day, but performed by other people, and they were a lot cheaper.

Elton John actually used to record a lot of songs for them if I remember correctly, before he got famous.
