There are applications where digital is the only wayHowever, film should be used where it can. In my art, I've always shot film, scanning it to sizes you'll never get with the fanciest digital camera you can think of.

Agreed.....photos were never really my thing, I never got good prints back from the lab, my first good photographs were digital.
My favourite synthesisers are completely analogue, there's a quality to the voices that just can't be recreated digitally.
