Edit: i actually had someone from the insurance company come round and look at the car today... how odd.
from about 30~40mph to 0 made everything in the "ashtray" (the handy little bit above the gearbox, thats normally full of nuts and bolts and loose change and bits and bobs) jump up and fly around as i drove into the kerb in slow motion, bursting a tyre, denting the rim, snapping the vertical link, denting the chassis... reverse... reverse... somethings not right... dammit - snapped the kerb clean in 1/2 :D (no insurance needed for that - had it fixed by the weekend :D)
(if you need a chunk of chassis that comes up to hold the valance.. i have two of the same side (sold to me as a pair, both the wrong side unfortunately for me))
2nd one was on my drive - me more or less stationary about 3-5mph, plankard going fast enough to leave 30 foot of skid mark then planting his car in the side of me! jumping my car about 3 foot over, his insurance letter was "i was driving and then i skidded abit and hit him" where i wrote a 3 page essay with diagrams and photographs and etc :D
edit : bit odd! must be quiet time of year? (who are you insured with btw? I use Lancaster insurance - cheap as chips (even with points for speeding - oops)

I know exactly what you mean about the "ashtray". I spent yesterday evening trying to find all the crap that i usually keep in there since most of it had been shot about 2 feet forward :-P
