Somehow they give me the impression of offensive gestures or indecent exposure rather than gentle illuminations.

Particularly when they all vanish for a bit and then flash simultaneously. I feel like the victim of an obscure prank.

This is true of all of this style of OTT Xmas illumination, it is to me a little bit coarse,

sort of Xmas in Vegas, a bit too much a bit too strong, but y'know, somehow it still makes me smile.
