EDIT: I didn't touch sweetcorn or beetroot until I was about 20 as the crap I got as school was tinned or pickled!

It isn't schools that are the problem. It is just the history of the roast in GB. It absolutely sucks! I did mean raw though. I fucking love raw sprouts!
