people tend to have chitchats in threadsand get pissed off when their precious words are removed. so it is often considered impolite, especially when an edit can fix a problem

I feel their pain--however....if some of the precious words are scornful of what you have posted, then why tie up the board with it and push something 'important' off the board? *like a wanking stick figure or something*

a lot of people can be unnecessarilly scornfulif it's scorned because the picture is 1mb or a cumsplattered pair of tits then the edit button should be employed to make things nicer for everyone. but I suppose that deletion could be considered appropriate.
If the scorn is simply because some people don't like it, well leave it alone, it's just a matter of taste.
