# Don't plan to delete it
But in general, what's the beef about deleting a thread? And why is there a delete option, if not to be used at the poster's discretion?

# people tend to have chitchats in threads
and get pissed off when their precious words are removed. so it is often considered impolite, especially when an edit can fix a problem

# I feel their pain--however....
if some of the precious words are scornful of what you have posted, then why tie up the board with it and push something 'important' off the board? *like a wanking stick figure or something*

# a lot of people can be unnecessarilly scornful
if it's scorned because the picture is 1mb or a cumsplattered pair of tits then the edit button should be employed to make things nicer for everyone. but I suppose that deletion could be considered appropriate.

If the scorn is simply because some people don't like it, well leave it alone, it's just a matter of taste.

# In other words--
be polite to those who are impolite to you, because here on the most insensitive and irreverent site on the planet, politeness is key. Does not compute on this end.

# But had I not deleted a thread

we wouldn't be having this delightful chat, would we? Isn't life wonderful :P

I still have my precious words, Hedgehog :P
