# To be fair, Elvis wrote very little of his own material
his performances could be good though

# But most of The Beatles stuff is actually good,
even the odder songs!

# sadly not, most of the Beatles stuff is rehashed toss
and blown out of all proportion by people who claim they founded modern pop music with their stuff.
They didn't.

# I do have to say that I'm
certainly not in the 'best band ever' camp when it comes to the Beatles but I do feel they made some fantastic tunes now and again. Most of it was cheesy pop for a teeny bop market but There were some gems. I think "Norwegian wood" was such a gem and "revolver" was a seminal album for an era of psychedelic rock.

# aye, that's it, good in parts, but as a whole, probably not worthy of the 'greatest band ever' they often get tagged with
I can listen to a fair bit of their stuff, but I'm selective in it. I personally prefer a lot of Lennon's solo stuff
