we have to get rid of

Doesn't smell like victory.

most overrated band of all time? Or does that honour go to The Beatles?

# Elvis!

(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 19:16, archived)
# To be fair, Elvis wrote very little of his own material
his performances could be good though
(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 19:16, archived)
# But most of The Beatles stuff is actually good,
even the odder songs!

(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 19:18, archived)
# sadly not, most of the Beatles stuff is rehashed toss
and blown out of all proportion by people who claim they founded modern pop music with their stuff.
They didn't.

# But everyone copies someone!
Oasis haven't done bad on it!!

(Latest album could be The Beatles!!!)

# I do have to say that I'm
certainly not in the 'best band ever' camp when it comes to the Beatles but I do feel they made some fantastic tunes now and again. Most of it was cheesy pop for a teeny bop market but There were some gems. I think "Norwegian wood" was such a gem and "revolver" was a seminal album for an era of psychedelic rock.
(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 19:22, archived)
# aye, that's it, good in parts, but as a whole, probably not worthy of the 'greatest band ever' they often get tagged with
I can listen to a fair bit of their stuff, but I'm selective in it. I personally prefer a lot of Lennon's solo stuff
(, Wed 7 Jan 2009, 19:25, archived)
# 'Nevermind' is without question the most overrated album of all time.
It doesn't make them entirely shit, though. Bits of 'In Utero' are brilliant, as far as I'm concerned.

she turned up in an oil barrel under several feet of concrete in the garage.

A man was leaving a cafe when he noticed an unusual funeral.
A funeral Coffin was followed by a second one.
Behind the second coffin was a Solitary man walking with a black dog.
Behind him was a queue of 200 men walking in single line.

The man couldn't stand his curiosity.

He approached the man walking with the dog, 'I am so sorry to disturb you,
But I've never seen a funeral like this with so many of you walking in
single line.
Whose funeral is it?'

The man replied, 'That first coffin is for my wife.'
What happened to her?'
'My dog attacked and killed her.'

'Well, who is in the second coffin?'

'My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife when the dog attacked
And killed her also.'

A thoughtful moment of silence passes between the two men.
Then the First one asks in excitement, 'Can I borrow the dog?

The man replied, 'Join the queue!"
