# Me neither
It seems to get a slating, but I don't really see why. I think the only people that truley hate it are those who had the same greivances when XP came out. Those who just don't like change.

# Aye.
Though comparing it to the Win7 Beta it really is a pig when it comes to resources.

# I'd like to try win7...but I don't want to fork out that kinda money

# isn't the beta free (tho time restricted?)
(, Thu 15 Jan 2009, 20:44, archived)
# I think it might be
Try Here:
www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/
Only install it on a PC you don't use very often, or try some kind of virtual pc software.

# by the time I've got some rams for the celery
it'll probably be too late

plus the celery is a poohead and won't work with any decent video cards

# yea...I don't really see a point in getting a time restricted OS
(, Thu 15 Jan 2009, 20:52, archived)
# they are all time restricted ultimately
tho yes, I'dlike it to be restricted to less than a few weeks :D

edit: just thought about drivers, all my shit is old, so I guess it won't work too well

when windows 7 is out properly hopefully I'll be able to afford a new machine, and it'll be likely to be completely new as well and not made out of old recycled bits :)

# Touble is, Prod
The majority of PC owners in the world are not technical and should anything, even minor stuff, not work properly they are stumped.
I think that is why a lot are resistant to change.
