I went around telling people that for a couple of years before I found snopes.
The trouble is, the Mother in Law still swears it's true because I told her and continues to tell people.
I haven't the heart to tell her and lose my status as the favourite in law.

I used to enjoy telling lies just to see how long it took for them to come back to me in the form of having happened to somebody's friend. I shall reinstate this hobby, methinks.
