He is apparently disliked in comedy circlesdue to the fact that he is a notorious joke thief.
I also don't think he's very funny, Jack Dee did deadpan way better.

I've seen him do the"put Smarties tubes on cats' legs to make them walk like robots" gag from Viz's Top Tips on two separate TV shows.
Maybe he sent it to Viz in the first place - who knows?
