I guess so.Crappy story, though, in which we are encouraged to regard the main character as a charismatic rogue, even though he is manifestly a shit from beginning to end. Rather similar to No Country For Old Men in that respect, as I have whinged previously on this forum.

I did find the Odyssey underpinnings a bit of a stretchbut as a riff on the early days of commercial hillbilly and race records, it's great.
