actually, I was working at a manufacturer about 10 years agoA person from another plant in Germany was visiting our plant in the USA, he needed to transfer some files to another PC and was asking for a 'stiffy' -- must have been a way to differentiate from the floppy, but he didn't realize what it would translate to in slang
