# What wood do you carve these on? I'm sure I've asked this before but I've managed to already forget.
I should write it down.

Also, do you ever do wood sculptures/carvings?

# i guess its pine
i just go to Lowe's and grab a 1"x8"x6' board or whatever, and go to it. My recollection is that people who really know their stuff use cherry, but i already spend enough on my addiction.

I've never tried sculpture. I've a hard enough time working in 2D.

# I was going to call you a crack whore, but you don't really crack so much as chip anyway so that completely doesn't work.
I've only ever done two sculptures, both in wood, one oak which was fucking impossible to even dent and basically ended up still practically square, and one pine which just ended up splintering too easily. The difficult bit is having to keep the thing in a decent vice grip and constantly spin it around, that and cutting it into the right shape to begin with.

The pine one did come out fairly well though, wherever it is, on a dusty shelf in a plastic bag behind me somewhere.
