I'd somewhat agree with you there
While I like Spaced a lot and find it quite funny and quotable it's nowhere near being one of Britain's best comedies.
I'll submit dinnerladies as an unjustifiably forgotten gem.

Dinnerladies was written by Victoria Wood, who's a stupidly funny woman
I bought the boxset for about a tenner on Play.com and it's easily the biggest bargain I've got. I thought it was hilarious in a madcap, farcical, way
