I'm always sweating and angry by the time I get it done up. More often I use a ready done one now and carry my real one in my pocket for the James Bond moment later

Should have a little loop at the back of the collar which you put it trough so you don't lose it when you untie it (actually it's really to stop it riding up at the back, but it works).

PS clip on and sneaky second tie is cheating - JB moment is the payoff for learning to tie it properly!
