Yeah... its a strange thing isn't it?
By default, the UK is on GMT+0, simply because the UK is where Grenwich is... so far, so sensible.
When it comes round to the summer, for some reason we go onto BST (GTM+1). We call this daylight savings.
But the time of year which we want to save daylight in is during the winter. So that suggests that GMT+0 is our daylight saving time, and BST is our default time.
So...
which joker set Grenwich Mean Time to be an hour out from the actual default time in Grenwich? Amatures.
