# Which is the Jazz you can dance to?
Because I certainly imagine you'd have some difficulty dancing along to Giant Steps.

# soft, nice jazz. Danceable jazz.
You can dance to anything, so long as you don't mind looking odd.

I should have put money on you asking that.

# Wouldn't really know, I only dance along to music about the house when I'm on my own so I'd venture I always look odd anyway.
(, Wed 8 Apr 2009, 15:59, archived)
# I actually cannot imagine you dancing.
All I get is you shaking a leg about and looking annoyed.

# See what you've done there is confused being socially inept with being a grumpy curmudgeon.
Though I suspect the latter is a much more credible aura to associate with.

# I think I just like imagining people in the most endearing light possible.

# I imagine that's a stretch for me.

Quite easy, really.

# Just seems odd,
That since John Coltrane also recorded Blue Train, which has some eminently dance-able tracks on it, why one would then choose some wall of noise bump & squeak (Bad Miles Davies-esque) stuff as an example.

Oh well. Never mind.

# I dance to most things, to be fair.

# Bump & Squeak 'Jazz'
is where I would draw the line. A little way back from there, in all honesty.

# Eh?
Sorry was this about me mentioning Giant Steps? I don't see what's wrong with liking Modal Jazz.
(, Wed 8 Apr 2009, 16:10, archived)
# Nope, it was more about dance-able Jazz.
Which as you very correctly pointed out Giant Steps wasn't.

There is nothing wrong with liking Modal Jazz. Each to his/her/it's own.
