Slight TJ: I've always wanted to ask this;

When inserting an object into a pic where part of the original pic will be in front of the insertion, (like Jesus' arm there) what's the best way of doing it?

I always cut away the bit to be in front, paste in the new object, then re-paste the top layer and use the soften brush to clean up seams.

Is that about it?

That is what I tend to do.

I would cut too much arm away, then erase the edges of the arm and, if they are wrong, erase part of the egg.

Use feather and then burn/dodge the under piece.

i use very few of them

wand, erase, lassoo and a bit of messing with colours/brightness for most stuff, i don't have a clue what most of it does and the pen tool was invented by the devil.

I can't use the pen tool either.

But I can't help but think it would be improved for me if I bought a tablet.
