Like the world standard SL 1, the SL 3 connects one or two standard vinyl or CD turntables to your computer and the mixer of your choice. Using regular turntables or CD players, you can scratch and mix files from your Mac or Windows computer's CD or hard drive with the control records or CDs.

I find it a lot easier to accept the ideathat music can be stored digitally on a plastic disc and retrieved by sensing the reflections of a laser, than the idea that music can be stored in a wibbly wobbly groove on a vinyl plate, and retrieved by sensing the vibrations of a diamond needle.
