Some point when I've got the time I'll poke you for some ideas/code and

Ham fisting is the way to rule. My skills are mainly
in the ability to optimize anything. If it can be stated
procedurally, I can find the fastest way to do it on
damn near any kind of hardware or API. I also can
read things, and glean the best bits out, very quickly.
