To be totally honest I'm not a massive fan of beat detective and its ilk either but autotone is a thing of pure evil. People that use it in live sound should be shot on site!

Different voices for different styles I'd say...Dusty was smooth like velvet, Aretha had more grit than a Canadian snowplough - both excellent, and both way beyond anyone around at the moment...
