many years ago whilstshe and I were waiting to move into our new house, We lodged with a copper and his mrs. He was in the Tactical Aid Group (TAG but I think they have a different name now ) but in the time when policemen did not have guns or an armed response team TAG were the guys that ran around airports with sub-machine guns and went to all the dangerous stuff. He was also one of the guys digging up the moors looking for Hindley and Brady's victims.
The sad part about it was that in order for him to do that job he and his wife had to live under assumed names 200 miles away from where they grew up.
