# I have been unable to play with gifs for well over a year now, since getting CS3
and switching to a Mac, and in my own humble way missed out on a whole load of fun

Just being able to save source gifs as .psd files to work on in CS4 seems to justify the cost!

# I've kept CS2 installed just for ImageReady
but you can still do gif animations within Photoshop CS3 but you can't import GIF which is a complete pain. So I import to ImageReady and save as a .PSD so that I can bring it into Photoshop CS3 and edit.

# Alas
other than this, i've not looked back on jumping from PS7 on a PC to CS4 on a Mac Pro; but the price of CS2 still seems slightly heavy on the web for someone who has splashed out on a lot of legit Adobe software this year to reasonably 'downgrade'
