speaking of which, my local butcher is charging £6 for scrawny-looking rabbits.

Well as long as you go to a butchers rather than the supermarkets! Plastic and meat don't mix.
I still sorely miss my best mate the butcher, who went back to NZ.
He ran pretty much the leading butchers in Britain too!:(

i go to my butchers every week for a good gammon shank. with a bag of lentils and some veg, it makes enough soup to last me all week!
