Not to get into an argument or anything over it,
but I don't see how speaking in a North London accent, as he did, and as is his normal accent, makes it mockneyed up at all. It's just one of those things that annoys me. Someone with a regional accent from anywhere else never seems to get pilloried in the same way.

Justin Bloody Lee Bloody Collins
I mean - really.
I saw him before he was famous*, and he did an ace, ace, ACE stand-up gig at my local in Zummerzet.
His accent wasn't even that thick then, and that was well before was on telly.

Oh I don't doubt that at all.
His accent seems so forced it's untrue. But he still doesn't seem to get the same abuse as others.

Well that's prolly 'cos people take it as a given that he's a bit of a twat, as he doesn't try to be "cool".

Sorry, I didn't explain myself properly.
I just take issue with the mockney thing, but I guess that is mainly because I'm a lahndahner innit :D
