I was driving over the Cheviots and the rain was really really really fine and the sun was shining hard and the rainbow it made was very vibrant and looked very close

it was excellent.

the initial rainbow is partially refracted light, so the rest of the light goes somewhere else and it makes a second rainbow ... but it's not always strong enough to see...
