Nuno Bettencort was the guitarist for a very popular hard rock band in the late 80's and early 90's
Their biggest hit was More Than Words but they also did the music for the shopping mall chase scene in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

I'm still quite partial to Heman Woman Hater and Decadance Dance
Although they've been utter shite without Bettencort's work on them. Whole hearted was good too. I think if you took any of their decent work and removed his stuff you'd get a Boy Zone song.:P
