Yea you get a lot more for your cash,But on the other side I i think an expensive mac will last 3 times as long as a cheap PC, so maybe it all evens out. Horses for courses innit :)

this is trueI've seen people spend buttons on a laptop which is a) already years out of date as soon as you buy it (mmmm - celeron) and b) lasts 10 months and starts to fall apart.

I'm supposed to be taking a Dell SX280and turning it into a Lunix based UPnP media server... just for the geek of it really, but I could do with one.

O_oHaving used Macs for so long anything beyond changing the memory of sticking a new HD in is a mystery to me. But good luck with that!
