I suddenly realised I was utterly mashed and talking nonsense, so made a hasty retreat to avoid boring any further victims. Did you have the good fun times yes?

It were ace. There's a charity for it, and it's run by narcoleptics. During their board meetings at any one point several of them will simply drop off - even in the middle of speaking or whatever.
It was pure comedy.

Likewise, great to finally meet you!
the Night(mare) bus was a truly sobering experience, but I eventually made it home, surprisingly with wallet intact and amazingly unstabbed, so all was good!

I was so relieved when you text to say you were back. I think if I'd been sober I'd have organised some sort of 'get everyone (Grunty) back home safe' party, the idea of you travelling home Saturday is only giving me the stone cold fear the more I think about it.

Even after living here for years now, the Night Bus still holds almost mythic levels of fear.
It's the extraordinary levels of craziness on display.
I've no idea why I didn't get a cab - I had the money on me.

I need a new laptop... I was looking at the mac ones but I don't like Mac OS I don't think... also - they're expensive.

I got a studio 17, it did cost a bit more but it is worth getting a custom made one. They are also quickly made and delivered, it took about 10 days from ordering to them delivering it.

I wouldn't recommend a Windows user to switch, unless they have specific reason.

... I was seriously thinking about it, but the desktop I could build for the price of a mac book would be an affront to God.

But on the other side I i think an expensive mac will last 3 times as long as a cheap PC, so maybe it all evens out. Horses for courses innit :)

I've seen people spend buttons on a laptop which is a) already years out of date as soon as you buy it (mmmm - celeron) and b) lasts 10 months and starts to fall apart.

Having used Macs for so long anything beyond changing the memory of sticking a new HD in is a mystery to me. But good luck with that!
