I think the revelation of Jacob was good at the end of the last series,

but killing him wasnt very nice.

That boat which jacob saw coming in, blatently the black rock.

But one thing that confused me the most is that everyone knew about the statue, surely they would have gone and investigated it in the time they were there and not just ignored it

American serials seem to go wrong roughly after the first series.

When they realise they can carry on money spinning, but because they originally were supposed to have finite purpose and plot all the following series just seem convuluted, pointless and inconclusive.

True, but not in the same way as he used to be

although they don't really go to the dark territory anymore so i guess you wouldn't bump into the monster very much.

I do like the way it ended, but I think this new series will start with them crashing again

but with all the knowledge they had before, or something like that
