so I'm going to uproot them today, use them as salad leaves instead and plant some rocket.

Going to crop my first lot od spinach for lunch though. Yummy.

Broad beans and peas looking fab, courgettes need more light and the opium crop looks set to allow me to retire. Just seeing if you are still reading.

He's been coming her for years now. I think he's a bit long in the beak for eating.
He's also lovely company. If I've fed him he'll come sit next to me not wanting anything while I'm reading.
He even settled on my lap once (bum outwards for pooing).

Bought it two years ago and it died off. Came back next year and managed to get three shoots to about 4 foot and this years is making a break for freedom.

but is in the ground this year and was well trimmed back. The shoots and leaves are looking very strong. It is in a great position too.

After it doed off I tried putting BBQ ash there as I know that they like acidic soil.

Some animal or other has attacked my marrow plants. Not best pleased. 2 out of three rhubarb plants are on the go but it's only their first year so not really worried about them. Toms, runner beans and strawbs going great guns. Spinach and lettuce, not so much :O(

My strawberries are going rampant. I'm going to have to put some beer traps gown as it looks like I'm going to have a bumper crop but I've already seen some snail trails.
