It'd be an idea to get in touch with whoever dealt with your application
And ask them why you weren't accepted, what you can do to improve your portfolio and what the chances are of spaces at clearing. This way if spaces do open up they're more likely to remember your name and remember your eagerness. They might even be able to suggest a similar course or other avenue you hadn't thought of.

Even if not there's nothing to stop you wandering into the department and asking people. It's a bugger you can't get in even with a foundation tear tho :(
