This is an old one I keep meaning to post in the challenge but forgot (and now it's too late). I thought I'd chuck it in here regardless.

we are growing loads in our small garden, but my daughter eats all the strawberries, peas, raspberries and tomatoes as soon as they are ripe.

I once made a graphic for a site called mowthelawn. Its visitors had to mow the lawn regularly, lest the grass would get too high.
It was a bit of a community about nothing really. You'd just go there, mow the lawn a bit, and then leave. Genius.
mowthelawn.net/
(heh, graphic's gone now)
/edit: and so are the tables with names and times the lawn was mown. Not much of a community now eh

..I remember this back in the hayday of YS.... am I right in thinking they actually put it on a cover-tape at some point or are the muddled memories of my youth becoming too ephemeral to grasp reliably anymore..?
Edit: For all you aged Speccy gamers out there....the greatest magazine in the world ever
Edit2: Yes...yes they did . Guess it's probably available if you have one of those emulators and really need some grass cutting action with the wet British summer..
