I just checked imdb,I didn't realise he had also written Drilbit Taylor, which I thought was a pretty good film. He wrote it under another name though apparently.

Don't expect something amazing,and if you dislike Owen Wilson, you won't like it. But it has a few laugh out loud moments and is an enjoyable enough way to spend a couple of hours.
