Truth stranger than fiction
I was once in a fairly posh restaurant in Richmond, enjoying a fairly posh meal, when at about 10pm a man came in on his own and sat at the bar. I looked round, as you do, and it was only - you won't believe this - Mick Jagger. Imagine. A bit later he sat at the table behind us and the chef brought him out a plate of sausage and mash. Sausage and mash! And the punchline is, sausage and mash WASN'T EVEN ON THE MENU! Apparently having international rock-god status does have some benefits after all.
