If pressed to form one, I would venture that I am skeptical as to people's claims of how bad they are, as skepticism of anything anyone says is the safest course to take.

Since I have no reason to believe that Toshiba and Fujitsu are any better than Dell, I can extrapolate that if Toshiba and Fujitsu's laptops are fine, then Dells will probably be fine too - until such time as facts are made known to me that suggest that Toshiba and Fujitsu are substantially different to Dell. Until such facts come into my possession, it is logical to assume that Dell are no worse than any other laptop manufacturer and that people who complain about them have merely been unlucky in their experiences - which is to say that they are lying for comic effect.

both pretty good, no hardware problems to date.
can't comment on dell laptops though, this one's an acer something-or-other. it's bee dropped many times, the fan rattles like fuck occasionally, keyboard is full of dust, couple of letters missing, but it still works.
