Honestly

it's almost impossible to tell which one did which. I have see SO MANY people's work become recreated or the stuff of internet lore from here.

I think that back when a lot of these things were starting out,

in the early to mid 2000's, the internet was a nicer place. Now it is a lot shittier, so people feel a need to claim ownership more and more.
