I got lost on Lostduring season 3 when the focus was more on 'the others' and all the initial mystery/fantasy was lost. From all I hear it picks up on the mysterious aspect in later seasons in which case I may rent some to catch up.

Now that sounds more like it.It was the mythology that set it apart from anything else on TV at the time and I was gutted they tried to ground it in too much reality (cf. Phantom Menace & midi-chlorians vs. The Force).
