I don't get why they changed itif its meant to be when Annakin was good, then he should either be very young or stay old and redeemed, not how he was when he was contemplating a switch to a more gothy wardrobe.

It was clearly just a cheap ploy to tie in the prequels with the proper films.No actual sense was involved in doing it.
