they contain mostly sponge cake, fruit, jelly and fresh cream - and at this time of year we usually soak the sponge in sherry *hic*

they are very nice - we do a non boozy one for the kids/drivers etc. at Christmas party's.

for some reason, catering companies always use the custard trifle. (schools factory's etc) For why I have no idea as I hate custard.
